NonStop SQL/MX

Install the desired OSM server SPRs (see Caution above) if you decide that you
want to use OSM. The latest OSM SPR, T0682AAI, is available on the G06.28
SUT and on Scout.

configuration information, see the OSM Migration Guide.
You must use OSM (instead of TSM) to:
°
Manage and configure ServerNet Clusters using layered topology with
ServerNet Switch model 6780. (HP also recommends using OSM to manage
all systems in a ServerNet Cluster using star topology with ServerNet Switch
model 6770. OSM suppresses generation of alarms and dial-outs on all nodes
in the cluster when service actions are performed on a cluster from any node.
This protection is not available if some nodes are being managed by TSM
because TSM cannot communicate with OSM.)

Automatically recognize online disk remirroring. TSM must be stopped and
then started. Only OSM recognizes online disk remirroring without intervention.
°
Support the I/O adapter module (IOAM) enclosure and its components. Using
OSM, you can configure an IOAM enclosure before it is integrated into the
system.
°
Support Fibre Channel disk modules.
°
Support new device models for the HP Virtual Tape for NonStop Servers.
°
Take advantage of HP SIM (see HP Systems Insight Manager (SIM) on
page 1-2) or ISEE (a web-based alternative to using a modem for dial-outs) in
the NonStop environment.
NonStop SQL/MX
Install NonStop SQL/MX Release 2.0 or later fallback SPRs if necessary. See

DSM/SCM
Install the latest G02 product version of DSM/SCM on your host system before you
install the SUT. Appendix B, Installing the Latest DSM/SCM SPRs and Client Software
describes how to restore from tape and install the recommended T6031G02 SPR of
