Record the Current SYSnn
If Spooler Plus is present on your system before the upgrade, it must reconfigured after
the upgrade is complete.
Enform Plus (T0295)
Enter the following command to determine if Enform Plus has been installed:
VPROC $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.ENFORM
If Enform Plus has been installed, then you must load and run the Enform Plus macro
after the upgrade to the new RVU.
CRE/RTL (T8431, T1269)
Two versions of Heap Manager are currently available: T8431 is the default and older
version, and T1269 is the newer version. T1269 has improved performance over
T8431; however, if you are currently using T8431, migrating to T1269 can cause
regressions in some cases.
If you are currently running T8431 (the default version) and wish to retain that version,
no action is required. However, if you are currently running T1269 and wish to retain
that version, you must delete T8431 from the upgrade configuration; otherwise,
DSM/SCM will install the default T8431 version when you upgrade your system.
To find out which version of Heap Manager is currently installed, enter the following
command:
VPROC $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.ZCRESRL
Record the Current SYSnn
Identify and record the current SYSnn subvolume on your system. You will have to
specify this SYSnn subvolume if you need to fall back from the G06.30 RVU.
At a TACL prompt, issue the status command to determine the current SYSnn
subvolume. For example:

Back Up Important Files
Before you upgrade to the newest RVU, back up to tape critical host applications, such
as:
