systems, where some systems run G06.20 or later RVUs and some run earlier RVUs.
There are two ways to approach this problem:

Install the latest server on the earlier NonStop systems, along with a compatible
version of the Inspect subsystem. You can install Visual Inspect server SPR
T9756AAH and Inspect subsystem SPR T9226AAK on an HP NonStop K-series
server running the D45.00 or later RVU or on a NonStop S-series server running
G05.00 through G06.19 RVUs. See the T9756AAH softdoc.
•
Install both Visual Inspect client product versions 2.3 and 2.4 on the workstation.
However, you cannot run both at the same time, and version 2.3 can encounter
problems after 2.4 has run.
Upgrading to Client Version 3.3
The functionality and performance of Visual Inspect server is enhanced in the G06.31
RVU. (See the Visual Inspect Online Help and the G06.31 RVU Compendium for
details of these enhancements.) However, to get the full benefit of these
enhancements, as well as enhancements to Visual Inspect client, you must upgrade to
Visual Inspect client version 3.3
Fallback
Problems can occur when reverting to a previous version of the Visual Inspect client
after upgrading to the new client along with the new server. In some cases, new
persistent information is not handled properly by older versions of the client. If this is a
concern, you should save a copy of the original VISINSP.INI file, located in the
c:\Windows directory. You can use this copy to ensure a smooth fallback, if fallback
becomes necessary.
Volume Protection Records and OSS File Creation
Starting in G06.26, if you have Safeguard volume-protection records added to prevent
or allow creation of OSS files, they are no longer required for OSS file creation. The
volume protection records can be revised or removed, depending on how they were
designed. If the volume protection records exist as part of a Guardian security policy
and have to be modified to accommodate OSS, the accommodations can now be

WAN Wizard Pro
The NonStop System Console Installer DVD (S7X-SWV2/HNSC-SWV2) includes the
WAN Wizard Pro client version 5.00. This client version is compatible with G06.21 and
