Upgrade the System Console Software
If you specify a configuration file that already exists, SCF asks if you want to replace it.
If you specify that you do not want to replace the existing file, SCF does not overwrite
the file. You must enter another SAVE command to save the current configuration file.
In case of fallback (see Section 18, Loading the Previous RVU and Resuming Normal
Operations), specify that this saved CONF xxyy file be used when you load the system
from the original SYS
nn (see Perform a System Load With the Previous SYSnn and
CONFxxyy on page 18-3).
Upgrade the System Console Software
Starting with the G06.22 RVU, you must order the Installer CD separately from Scout
for NonStop Servers.
The NonStop System Console Installer Guide describes how to upgrade a system
console to the set of applications delivered on the HP NonStop System Console
Installer. See the
HP NonStop System Console Installer Guide for the software
versions of the products provided by the current installer, S7X-SWV2/HNSC-SWV2,
Update 4.

Starting with the G06.24 RVU, the CSSI Web snapshot is no longer provided on the
installer CD, but the CSSI content can be accessed within NTL through the Support
and Service library. The library categories provide service information, procedures, part
numbers, troubleshooting tips, and tools for servicing NonStop S-series, NonStop NS-
series systems, and NonStop BladeSystems. Within these categories, where
applicable, content might be further categorized according to server or enclosure type.
Authorized service providers can also order the NTL Support and Service Library CD.
Note. Starting with S7X-SWV2/HNSC-SWV2, comForte MR-Win6530 replaces OutsideView as
the terminal emulator shipped with the console software. It is launched by the OSM Low-Level
Link version T0633AAT (or later) for Startup TACL and Event Stream windows. MR-Win6530
must be installed on the system console before installing OSM Low-Level Link version
T0633AAT (or later). Older versions of the OSM Low-Level Link continue to invoke
OutsideView, which is no longer shipped on new consoles or as part of the software package
as of G06.31.
Note. For remote support services:

To use the OSM Notification Director in conjunction with HP SIM and ISEE, OSM
Notification Director version T0632AAN or later is required. T0632AAN is available via
Scout as a Time Critical Fix (TCF). HP SIM and the current version of the OSM Notification
Director (T0632AAW) are available on the NonStop System Console Installer Update 12
CD.

To use Insight Remote Support Advanced instead of the OSM Notification Director, G06.15
RVU or later is required, as is HP SIM 5.3 or later. For more information, see Insight
Remote Support Advanced for NonStop in the Support and Services collection of NTL.
