RemoteProxy Service, see the RemoteProxy Service online help.
OSM Console Tools. Installer S7X-SWV2/HNSC-SWV2, Update 4, includes SPR
T0634AAQ. OSM Console Tools consists of:
°
Windows Start menu shortcuts for launching the OSM Service Connection and
OSM Event Viewer. (These applications are part of the OSM server-based
component (T0682), and are accessed through Internet Explorer browser
sessions from your system console).
°
Default home pages for the OSM Service Connection and OSM Event Viewer.
Launched from the Start menu, these pages contain bookmarks and
information to assist you in connecting to your NonStop servers. The
bookmarks (or Internet Explorer Favorites) include both those automatically
created from your existing TSM system list and any bookmarks you create
from within OSM applications (as described in the OSM online help or
OSM
Migration and Configuration Guide
).
The shortcuts and bookmarks provided by OSM Console Tools are not
required to access the OSM Service Connection or OSM Event Viewer. You
can simply open a new Internet Explorer browser window and enter the host
name or IP address of the NonStop server you want to connect to. You can
also launch the OSM Event Viewer from within the OSM Service Connection
by selecting Event Viewer from the Tools menu.
If you have ordered new system consoles, the OSM client-based components are
already installed.
Server Software Requirements
OSM and TSM
For TSM, if you have to install the most recent server SPRs (see Caution above),
follow the instructions in the appropriate softdocs. Depending on your current
configuration, for most TSM server SPRs, such as TSM Bind, the process might
need to be aborted and then restarted using the Subsystem Control Facility (SCF)
.
For preinstallation and post-installation details, see the appropriate softdoc
.
Caution. You must have either the TSM (T7945ABN or later) SPR or the G06.24 or later OSM
SPRs installed and configured in order to update boot code processor firmware using the
online boot code option. (OSM Server and Client Compatibility SPRs
on page 4-13 for the list
of OSM server-based SPRs that shipped with G06.24. Because of continued product
enhancements, HP recommends using OSM T0682, a single OSM server-based SPR that
started shipping at G06.25, and replaces all eight individual server-based SPRs that comprised
OSM on G06.26 and previous RVUs.) HP also recommends that you install and start these
required SPRs before you build and apply the new RVU. See HS02865 for background
information on updating processor boot code.
