SMF
SMF
Beginning in the G06.28 RVU, SMFINTRFCE (T0063) is merged into the SMF (T8472)
product. The merging of these T-numbers can cause a problem if you are installing the
SMF bundle (T8472G07^ACV or later) on a pre-G06.28 system without installing the
entire SUT. (The problem does not occur if you are installing the entire G06.28 or later
SUT.)
The problem occurs because the merged version of SMF and the existing T0063
component in your current (pre-G06.28) RVU both attempt to place the file ZSMFC in
the ZSPIDEF subvolume. This attempt results in a “duplicate file was found” error
during the DSM/SCM installation of T8472G07^ACV or later.
You can avoid this problem by manually removing T0063 before the upgrade, as
follows: During the upgrade operation, DSM/SCM detects the duplicate SMF
components and generates a message indicating that T0063 is already present in your
current configuration. DSM/SCM then prompts you to either retain or remove it.
Respond to this prompt by requesting removal of T0063.
NonStop Secure Shell Server
NonStop Secure Shell (SSH) Server was first released as an independent product prior
to the G06.32 RVU. It is now delivered on the SUT. SSH provides secure
communication between the MR-Win6530 terminal emulator (which replaced
OutsideView) and the NonStop server.
Migration Consideration
NonStop SSH Server is an optional feature, and must be set up for use with MR-
Win6530. With regard to network management, NonStop SSH uses port 22, so that
port must be enabled for NonStop SSH to work.
ServerNet Clusters and NonStop BladeSystems
In order for S-series servers to co-exist in the same ServerNet cluster with a NonStop
BladeSystem, the S-series servers must have the following installed:
•
SANMAN, T0502AAX or later
•
SNETMON, T0294AAX or later
For more information, see the
ServerNet Cluster Supplement for NonStop
BladeSystems

DSM Tape Catalog Migration
DSM/TC MEDIADBM no longer abends when processing the DSM/TC MEDIACOM
RECOVER DISKFILE command. You no longer have to SQL/MP compile your
MEDIADBM files if the system catalog is used. However, if you install the new DSM/TC
