ZEMS-TKN-EVENTNUMBER
contains the value ZGDS-EVT-CHKPT-FAIL (1041).
ZGDS-TKN-CHKPT-ERRNUM
contains the I/O error number in this event message.
ZEMS-TKN-EMPHASIS
contains the value ZSPI-VAL-TRUE, indicating that this is a critical event.
ZEMS-TKN-CONSOLE-PRINT
contains the value ZSPI-VAL-TRUE.
ZGDS-TKN-SEVERITY
contains the value ZGDS-VAL-SEV-ERR indicating that this event reports an error
that prevents the process from operating.
1042: ZGDS-EVT-CHKOPEN-FAIL
Cause. A GDS backup process's call to CHECKOPEN failed.
Refer to the Guardian Procedure Calls Reference Manual for information on the error
number.
Effect. The GDS primary process stops the backup process, then creates a new GDS
backup process.
Recovery. If the GDS primary process fails to recreate the backup process, or if the
primary process loops, contact your service provider and provide all relevant
information as follows:

Descriptions of the problem and accompanying symptoms
•
Details from the message or messages generated
•
Supporting documentation such as Event Management Service (EMS) logs, trace
files, and a processor dump, if applicable
If your local operating procedures require contacting the GCSC, supply your system
number and the numbers and versions of all related products as well.
