Data Communications Standard Definitions
These definitions consist of the following:
•
Header tokens available to applications using GDSX
•
Simple tokens used in GDS event messages
All EMS standard definitions are fully described in the EMS Manual. Information about 
definitions that are specific to the GDS subsystem is given below.
ZEMS-TKN-CONSOLE-PRINT
always contains the value ZSPI-VAL-TRUE, indicating that all GDSX event 
messages are displayed on the operator console controlled by the capability 
distributor ($Z0).
ZEMS-TKN-EVENTNUMBER
contains the event number of a GDS event message. These event numbers and 
their associated event messages are described in Section 6, Event Messages.
Data Communications Standard Definitions
Definitions whose names begin with ZCOM- are data communications standard 
definitions.
Table 4-3 lists all the data communications standard definitions that are used in the 
token-oriented programmatic interface to the GDS subsystem. These definitions 
consist of the following:
•
Simple and extensible structured tokens used in GDSX commands, responses, 
and error lists
•
Command numbers
•
Object types
•
Structures used in other definitions
