Sensitive and Nonsensitive Commands
Sensitive and Nonsensitive Commands
Commands are divided into two groups based on whether or not a user must have
proper security to be able to use the command. These two groups, shown in Table 5-3,
are called sensitive commands and nonsensitive commands.
Sensitive commands can change the state of an object. The only users allowed to
issue a sensitive command are the members of the SUPER group and the members of
the same group as the manager of the object.
Nonsensitive commands do not change the state of an object and can be issued by
any user.
Command Descriptions
On the following pages, each GDS subsystem command and its response is described
in detail. The command descriptions appear in alphabetical order.
Each command is described in terms of its symbolic name, the symbolic names of all
object types accepted by the command, a list of tokens that can be present in the
