New and Changed Information
This edition of the Extended General Device Support (GDSX) Manual reflects the
following changes for the D44.00 release.
Pseudo Context-Sensitive Pathsend Procedures
Four pseudo context-sensitive Pathsend procedures were added to allow direct
communication between GDSX and Pathway servers:
^SERVERCLASS_DIALOG_BEGIN_
^SERVERCLASS_DIALOG_SEND_
^SERVERCLASS_DIALOG_ABORT_
^SERVERCLASS_DIALOG_END_
These new procedures are described in Section 8.
Pseudo Guardian Procedures
Two pseudo Guardian procedures were added:
^SETMODE
^SETPARAM
These new procedures are described in Section 8.
Memory Pool Management Procedures
Two memory pool management procedures were added to facilitate the efficient use of
memory by both TSCODE and USCODE:
CHANGE^BUFF^OWNER[X]
GETEXTPOOLX
These new procedures are described in Section 8.
Support for Preconfigured SUs and LINEs
A new feature to provide support for preconfigured SUs and LINEs without the need for
an associated file as accessname has been added.
These new procedures are described in Section 1.
Other Changes to This Edition
Other changes to the manual include:
The operating system for Tandem NonStop systems, formerly called the Guardian
operating system, is now called the Tandem NonStop Kernel. This change reflects
