Restart the Communications Lines
4. Use the SCF START LIF command to start the logical interfaces (LIFs).
START LIF $ZZLAN.lif-name
5. Use the SCF STATUS LIF to verify that the LIFs are in the STARTED state (see
Example 3-29).
STATUS LIF $ZZLAN.*
Troubleshooting
If the SCF STATUS SAC command shows that the G4SA SAC object is still in the
STARTING state after a few minutes or if the OSM Service Connection indicates that
the resource needs attention, follow the procedure described in Troubleshooting on
page 2-11.
Restart the Communications Lines
1. Use the SCF START SUBNET command to start the TCP/IP SUBNETS.
START SUBNET $tcpip-process-name.#subnet-name
2. Use the SCF START PROCESS command to start an IPXPROTO process.
START PROCESS $process-name
3. Use the SCF START LINE command with the SUB ALL option to start a PAM line.
START LINE $line-name, SUB ALL
The SUB ALL option starts the LINE object and its subordinate objects.
Example 3-29. SCF STATUS LIF command
->STATUS LIF $ZZLAN.*
SLSA Status LIF
Name State Access State
$ZZLAN.L1121I STARTED UP
$ZZLAN.L1121J STARTED UP
$ZZLAN.L1121K STARTED UP
$ZZLAN.L1121L STARTED UP
Note. Perform this procedure only if you stopped communications lines or if an IPXPROTO
process was using the G4SA that was replaced. IPXPROTO processes must be manually
restarted after a G4SA is replaced.
Note. To start a TCP/IP SUBNET that is configured using Parallel Library TCP/IP, refer to
the TCP/IP (Parallel Library) Configuration and Management Manual. To start a TCP/IP
SUBNET that is configured using NonStop TCP/IPv6, refer to the TCP/IPv6 Configuration
and Management Manual.
