Locate the New Slot
Locate the New Slot
Find the IOAM group, module, and slot containing the G4SA to be relocated and the
empty slot where you will relocate the adapter. This empty slot should contain a filler
panel. If it does not, you will need a filler panel for the slot left vacant by the G4SA you
move.
Label the Communication Cables Connected to the G4SA
Follow the procedure described in Label the Communication Cables Connected to the
G4SA on page 3-15 to label the communication cable.
Remove and Relocate the G4SA
Review Standard Operating Practices
See Review Standard Operating Practices on page 2-3 and Figure 2-1 on page 2-4.
Remove the Adapter
Follow the procedure described in Remove the Adapter on page 3-15.
Move the G4SA and Install It in Its New Slot
Follow the procedure described in Install the G4SA on page 2-6.
Verify the Installation of the G4SA
Follow the procedure on Verify the Installation of the G4SA on page 2-9.
Resume Operations
Table 4-3 describes starting the relocated G4SA.
