Remove the Adapter
1. Disconnect the communication cable from the GESA.
2. Put on your electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap and connect the grounding
clip securely to an unpainted metal surface on the service side of the system
enclosure, such as the processor multifunction (PMF) CRU or I/O multifunction
(IOMF) CRU ventilation holes (see Figure 2-4 on page 2-9).
