Process Move Recommendations
Report Considerations
No report will be produced if no candidates are found. There are no user-supplied
runtime options to initiate these reports; they are STANDARD reports.
The three standard reports are the following:

Process Moves for Memory Imbalance
•
Process Primary Switches for CPU Imbalance
•
Process Moves for CPU Imbalance
In the case of \NODEA, for example, GPA has tried to free up some severely needed
memory in CPU 0 by recommending that two processes be moved as shown in
Example 4-24
.
To correct a processor utilization imbalance on \NODEB (Example 4-25
), GPA has
recommended that ten processes running on CPU 1 be moved and distributed as shown
among the other three processors in the system.
To correct a processor utilization imbalance on \NODEB (Example 4-26
), GPA
recommends that eight paired server processes switch their primary processor. GPA has
determined that these are process pairs and that the primary process CPU is over
