Negative Contributing Factors to Memory Subsystem Score
Example 4-37 is a detailed report displaying the negative factors that contribute to the
memory subsystem score.
The negative contributing factors to the Memory Score are the following:
(1) Detail Negative Contributing Factors to CPU Score: Shows how the CPU
subsystem score is degraded from 100% to the final resulting score due to the
problems detected. These problems are represented by the following negative
factors:
(2) Hi Swap: CPUs that have a swap rate greater than the limit swap rate for this
CPU type. A negative score gets added to the score according to how high above
the limit the swap rate is.
(3) Memory, Mem/Tr., or Trans: Based on the swap rate and the transient rate of
the CPU, memory shortage and/or transient problems are detected. The score is
subtracted according to how severe the problems are.
(4) Disp: The dispatch rate of a CPU is over the dispatch rate limit for this CPU
type.
(5) OofBal: The difference of a processor percentage busy time from the average
percentage busy time of all processors on the node is greater than the tolerance
level.
(6) Overbsy: This is a problem when the percentage busy time of a processor is
above the maximum percentage busy time suggested for this type of processor.

(1) Hi Swap: A processor with swap rate higher than the swap rate limit.
(2) Memory: A processor that experiences memory shortage.
(3) Tr/Swap: A processor that has high transient rate and high swap rate.
