Seeing the Current DCT Size
To see the current size of the DCT on your system—that is, the current sizes of its
components, the named resource list (NRL) and the process-pair list (PPL)—run
the PEEK utility by entering PEEK at the TACL prompt.
The default limits for the NRL and PPL are 32,767 entries each, but the system
reserves 400 entries for internal use; therefore, the effective limits are 32,367 entries
each.
Consider extending the DCT limit if the PEEK output shows any of the following for
either the “NRL S” or “PPL S” row:
The current usage is near the value 32,367.
The maximum usage has approached the value 32,367.
The number of failures is not zero.
