cproj(3) Guardian Native C Library Calls Reference Manual
NAME
cproj - Computes the complex projection function
LIBRARY
H-series and J-series native Guardian processes: $SYSTEM.ZDLLnnn.ZCREDLL
32-bit H-series and J-series OSS processes: /G/system/zdllnnn/zcredll
64-bit H-series and J-series OSS processes: /G/system/zdllnnn/ycredll
SYNOPSIS
#include <complex.h>
double complex cproj(
double complex z);
PARAMETERS
z Is the value to be projected.
DESCRIPTION
The cproj() function computes a projection of z onto the Riemann sphere. The cproj() function
returns z for z, except if z is a complex infinity (even if it is a complex innity with one infinite
part and one Nan part). If z is a complex innity, cproj() returns positive infinity on the real
axis. If z has an innite part then cproj() is equivalent to:
INFINITY+I* copysign(0,0, cimag(z))
NOTES
This function is implemented only for the IEEE_float oating-point option. Applications using
this function cannot be compiled if the specified floating-point option is Tandem_float.
RETURN VALUES
The cproj() function returns the value of the projection on the Riemann sphere.
ERRORS
No errors are defined.
