Guardian Native C Library Calls (a - e) cprojf(3)
NAME
cprojf - Computes the float complex projection function
LIBRARY
H-series and J-series native Guardian processes: $SYSTEM.ZDLLnnn.ZCREDLL
32-bit H-series and J-series OSS processes: /G/system/zdllnnn/zcredll
64-bit H-series and J-series OSS processes: /G/system/zdllnnn/ycredll
SYNOPSIS
#include <complex.h>
float complex cprojf(
float complex z);
PARAMETERS
z Is the float complex value to be projected.
DESCRIPTION
The cprojf() function is a float complex version of the cproj() function; it takes a float complex
argument and returns a float complex result.
The cprojf() function computes a projection of z onto the Riemann sphere. The cprojf() func-
tion returns z for z, except if z is a complex infinity (even if it is a complex infinity with one
infinite part and one Nan part). If z is a complex infinity, cprojf() returns positive infinity on the
real axis. If z has an infinite part then cprojf() is equivalent to:
INFINITY+I* copysignf(0,0, cimagf(z))
NOTES
This function is implemented only for the IEEE_float floating-point option. Applications using
this function cannot be compiled if the specified floating-point option is Tandem_float.
RETURN VALUES
The cprojf() function returns the value of the projection on the Riemann sphere.
ERRORS
No errors are defined.
