SYNOPSIS
#include <math.h>
long double fdiml(
long double x,
long double y
);
PARAMETERS
x Species a long double value.
y Species a long double value.
DESCRIPTION
The fdiml() function is a long double version of the fdim( ) function; it takes long double argu-
ments and returns a long double result.
The fdiml() function computes the positive difference between x and y.Ifx is greater than y, x -
y is returned. If x is less than or equal to y, positive zero is returned.
NOTES
This function is implemented only for the IEEE_float oating-point option. Applications using
this function cannot be compiled if the specified floating-point option is Tandem_float.
RETURN VALUES
Upon successful completion, the fdiml() function returns the positive difference between x and
y.
If x - y is positive and overflows, HUGE_VALL is returned and errno is set to [ERANGE].
If x - y is positive and underflows, 0.0 (zero) is returned.
If x or y is NaN, NaN is returned.
ERRORS
If any of the following conditions occurs, the fdiml() function sets errno to the corresponding
value:
[ERANGE] The result would cause an overow.
