NAME

SYNOPSIS
#include <math.h>
long int lrintf(
float x);
PARAMETERS
x Is the float value to be rounded.
DESCRIPTION
The lrintf() function is a float version of the lrint() function; it takes a float argument.
The lrintf() function returns the long integer value nearest the value of the x parameter in the
direction of the current rounding mode.
NOTES
This function is implemented only for the IEEE_float floating-point option. Applications using
this function cannot be compiled if the specified floating-point option is Tandem_float.
RETURN VALUES
On successful completion, the function returns the integer value nearest the value of the x param-
eter in the direction of the current rounding mode.
If the value of x is NaN, the function returns 0 (zero) and sets errno to [EDOM].
If the value of x is positive or negative infinity, the function returns LONG_MAX or
LONG_MIN and sets errno to [EDOM].
If the correct value is not representable as a long integer, the function returns LONG_MAX or
LONG_MIN and sets errno to [EDOM].
ERRORS
If the following condition exists, the lrintf() function sets errno to the corresponding value:
[EDOM] The value of x is NaN, positive or negative infinity, or is not representable as a
long integer.
