◦ Added information about POOL32_... procedures to POOL64_DEFINE_ Procedure
(page 959).
◦ Added the new timeout parameters to the PROCESS_GETINFO_ Procedure (page 1005)
and PROCESS_GETINFOLIST_ Procedure (page 1012).
◦ Revised the attribute code descriptions for the PROCESS_GETINFOLIST_ Procedure
(page 1012) as follows:
– Revised the description of attribute code 39 in to specify that it is the “process” file
name.
– Revised the description of attribute code 93 to remove the reference to a remote
node. (This attribute applies only to OSS processes on the same node as the calling
process.)
– Added the new 158 attribute code value.
◦ Added OSS process pair support to the PROCESS_SPAWN_ Procedure (page 1095),
including adding the PCREATOPT^CALLERSNAME value for the ZNAMEOPTIONS field
of the process-extension structure, and adding a new subsection, OSS SEEP Considerations
(page 1120).
◦ Added flat segment alignment and address space fragmentation considerations to the
SEGMENT_ALLOCATE[64]_ Procedures (page 1259).
◦ Added a new subsection, “Minimum Permissible Alignments for 64-bit Segments” to the
SEGMENT_GET_MIN_ALIGN_ Procedure (page 1282).
◦ Added new SETMODE function 141 values to Table 44: SETMODE Functions (page 1319)
for the SETMODE procedure. These values can be use to improve bulk reads of unstructured
files.
◦ Revised the “Handler Considerations” for the SIGACTION_INIT_ Procedure (page 1362).
◦ Added the new ipaddress and ipaddress-len parameter pair to the
USER_AUTHENTICATE_ Procedure (page 1441). This parameter pair identifies the IP address
that will be audited in Safeguard audit authenticate records.
• Renamed Appendix H to Other Documented Guardian Procedures. Removed Guardian
procedure calls documented in this manual from the appendix. Appendix H now lists only
those Guardian procedures located in other manuals. The list of these procedures has been
revised.
• Revised Appendix J: System Limits.
• Revised references throughout the manual to indicate that procedures and parameters are
supported on J-series also.
