HP SIM for NonStop Manageability

When you run a discovery task for an Onboard Administrator (OA) of a NonStop system, much
more system components are discovered such as racks and enclosures. If HP SIM discovers OAs
for a NonStop BladeSystem, the pictorial representation of the system is displayed when that rack
or enclosure is selected. In this example, we selected the enclosure BLOSM4_100:
Monitoring Events
The Events tab shows three types of events for NonStop systems:
OSM alerts
Insight Remote Support Advanced-created events on behalf of the NonStop system (for example,
a service event that was created)
HP SIM-created events for the selected NonStop system (for example, system discovery and
lost connectivity)
NOTE:
The HP SIM Events tab does not show EMS events from the NonStop system.
Events are not cleared automatically by default. A large number of events retained can cause
performance problems on the CMS. Refer to the HP SIM documentation for methods on how
to manage and delete events.
Follow these steps to view your system's events. In this example, we view the events of blosm4.
1. To view your system's events, click on your system to go to your system's view page. From
your system's view page, click on the Events tab. the events for your system will be displayed.
For this example, we selected the blosm4 NonStop system, as shown below:
