IMPORTANT: If you are running a VTS DL185G5, go to step 4. Otherwise, go to step 5.
4. If you are running a VTS DL185G5, follows these steps:
a. Remove hp-health and its subcomponents from the VTS:
rpm –e hp-health
rpm –e hp-smh-templates
rpm –e hp-snmp-agents
b. Download HPASM at HP System Health Application and Insight Management Agents.
c. FTP to the VTS and install the rpm:
rpm –ivh hpasm-8.0.0-173.rhel5.x86_64.rpm
d. As root, enter hpasm activate and select the default choices by pressing enter:
e. You will be asked to enter the localhost SNMP Read/Write community string as shown
in the graphic below and outlined in the red box. That string has no default, enter
private and enter private again to confirm.
