7 Monitoring a NonStop System Console (NSC) in HP SIM
To monitor an NSC with HP SIM, follow these steps:
1. From a separate CMS, discover your NSC system, providing valid credentials for the NSC
using the discovery steps described in “Discovering a NonStop System” (page 16).
2. On the CMS, logon to HP System Management Homepage (SMH).
3. In HP SMH, from the Settings menu, select SNMP & Agent Settings:
4. From the SNMP & Agent Settings screen, click the Security side menu option:
5. Add the IP Address of the NSC and local host and click Apply.
6. Open HP SMH on the NSC itself and click the Trap side menu option and add the IP Address
of the CMS where HP SIM is installed and click Apply.
