REMOTENET attribute, X25AM applies the same set of networking characteristics to
both incoming and outgoing calls.
X25AM Connectivity X25AM can be used by itself or with other Tandem products to provide connectivity
for a variety of network configurations that use Tandem systems to access PSDNs.
The type of connectivity you require determines whether or not you will need to write
a user application for X25AM or for a higher-level Tandem product. You indicate the
desired type of connectivity for the subdevice by using SCF to specify an appropriate
X25AM protocol for the subdevice The major types of connectivity, the related higher
level products, and the corresponding X25AM protocols are listed in Table 2-1.
