This appendix describes the operator and error messages generated by the NonStop
IPX/SPX subsystem. The appendix contains the following sections:
NonStop™ IPX/SPX Operator Messages on this page
NonStop™ IPX/SPX Error Messages on page D-7
Each message description in this appendix includes the syntax and its meaning along
with information on the probable cause(s), effect, and recommended recovery actions.
Italics indicate actual values that are inserted into the message by the NonStop
IPX/SPX process.
For information on generic SCF error messages, refer to the SCF Reference Manual for
G-Series Releases.
NonStop™ IPX/SPX Operator Messages
NonStop™ IPX/SPX operator messages are divided into two classes: critical and
noncritical. A critical message is usually serious, such as the notification of a hardware
failure or of software errors from which there is no automatic recovery. Noncritical
messages are generally informational. All NonStop™ IPX/SPX operator messages fall
into the critical category, with the exception of messages about summary state changes.
The following operator messages are presented in alphabetical order based on the
message text. Usually, operator messages are preceded by a header provided by the
application program that displays the messages.
For detailed information on operator messages, refer to the Operator Messages Manual.
