NonStop™ IPX/SPX Error Messages
The following NonStop™ IPX/SPX error messages are presented in numerical order.
Error messages are identified by number. You can use the SCF HELP command to
display the text of a message. For example, if the system displays
IPXSPX 00006
you can enter the following command to display the text of the message:
-> SCF HELP
-> IPXSPX E 6
IPXSPX 00005
obj-name
is the name of the object you specified in a STOP command.
Cause. A STOP command has been issued and rejected because there are active opens
other than the IPXMGR process.
Effect. None. The IPXPROTO process is not stopped.
Recovery. Close all opens to the process or use the ABORT command to perform a
destructive stop. (Note that all opens are lost if you issue an ABORT command.)
IPXSPX 00006
Cause. An internal inconsistency occurred that may indicate incompatible versions of
the SUBSYS and PROCESS objects.
Effect. The command is not executed.
Recovery. Perform a VERSION command on the SUBSYS and PROCESS objects to
check for compatibility. Install the correct versions, as needed.
IPXSPX 00005 Object obj-name cannot be stopped because it
has active opens.
IPXSPX 00006 Internal data length invalid. Check versions
of SUBSYS and PROCESS.
