IPXSPX 00009
IPXSPX 00009
Cause. The subsystem has received a command message with a bad token; the token
value is invalid.
Effect. The command is not executed.
Recovery. Check that you specify valid token values.
IPXSPX 00010
obj-name
is the name of the object you specified in a START command.
Cause. The START command failed on the object obj-name or the specified object
was unable to reach a STARTED summary state.
Effect. You get an error value of MEMORY, NETWORK, or UNKNOWN, which
indicates that the process was either unable to obtain enough memory or did not receive
a response from a NetWare server during process initialization.
Recovery. If the value of error is MEMORY, the process could not obtain memory
during initialization. Possible causes and recommended actions are:
•
The QIO monitor (QIOMON) process may not be configured with enough memory.
Increase memory limits by reconfiguring QIO.
•
THE QIOMON process may not be running. Use the QIO subsystem SCF STATUS
MON command to check the status of the QIOMON process.
If the value of error is NETWORK, a network problem is preventing the PROCESS
object from reaching a STARTED summary state. Possible causes and recommended
actions are:
•
The NetWare server is not running. The process cannot start unless a NetWare server
is running and configured using the same frame type as the IPXPROTO process.
•
An invalid SLSA filter protocol was specified in the IOPORTNAME. Verify that the
process has been started in the same processor pair as the configured SLSA filter
and that the SLSA filter is supported by a NetWare server.
•
If the NetWare server is fully operational and the SLSA LIF configuration is correct,
check that the cables on the network are fully connected.
If the value of error is UNKNOWN, there is a NETWORK or MEMORY problem.
The process cannot distinguish the cause of the STOPPED state. Follow the
troubleshooting methods outlined above for both NETWORK and MEMORY.
IPXSPX 00009 Token value is invalid.
