STATS Command
Outbound Packet Errors
displays the total number of times NCP was unable to send a packet to IPX. This
condition occurs when the stream head is out of memory or is not initialized.
Open Count
displays the current number of NCP opens. This number is calculated as the number
of NCP opens without a corresponding NCP close.
Message Count
displays the number of times a user request was received by the NCP Layer.
Total Errors
displays the total of inbound and outbound packet errors.
Description of Statistics for the SPX Layer
Inbound Packet Count
displays the total number of inbound packets received by the SPX Layer.
Outbound Packet Count
displays the total number of outbound packets sent from the SPX Layer.
Open Sockets Count
displays the current number of open sockets for SPX. To compare the current
number of connections with the maximum number of connections, use the INFO
PROCESS command with the DETAIL option to check the maximum number of
SPX connections. (To do this, check the SPX Max Conn field in the INFO
PROCESS, DETAIL display.)
Send Failure Count
displays the number of times SPX has reached the maximum number of resends as
specified in the value of SPXMAXRESEND, configurable through the ADD or
ALTER command.
Bad Incoming Packet Cnt
displays the number of times SPX received a bad packet. Bad packets are those
packets whose data message blocks are greater than the maximum SPX data size.
Suppressed Packet Count
displays the number of times a connection request has not reached the LAN.
