Run the Setup Script
For example:
TACL> LOGON SUPER.WEB
TACL> OSH
OSS: cd /usr/tandem/webserver/<version>
OSS: ./setup [<oss directory>]
The installation script walks you step-by-step through the installation of the
Administration Server, the iTP Secure WebServer, and, by default, installs the product
into the /usr/tandem/webserver directory. If you are logged on with a SUPER group
userid, you can accept the defaults, and start running both the iTP Secure WebServer
administration interfaces and the iTP Secure WebServer. If there is an existing
configuration, the script automatically backs up any existing configuration files that it
finds.
If you want to install the iTP Secure WebServer into an OSS directory other than
/usr/tandem/webserver, then specify the desired installation directory as a parameter to
the setup script. For example:
OSS: ./setup /home/myuser/mywebserver
Notes:
The target installation path cannot be the same as the source path.
If the iTP Secure WebServer is installed at an OSS directory other than the default
/usr/tandem/webserver, changes will have to be made to the WID configuration if it
is installed.
Once the setup script has run, do not delete or modify the version specific directory
(/usr/tandem/webserver/<version> or its subdirectories, as there are OSS symbolic links
pointing back to that directory tree. If you do delete any of these directories or
subdirectories, you will have to reinstall the entire product starting with unpaxing the
product PAX file.
For additional help with the setup script, enter ./setup ? at the OSS prompt.
The Setup for Parallel Library TCP/IP Support
In addition to scanning for conventional TCP/IP processes, the setup script will check
for the presence of TCPSAM processes on the target system.
The script will query your intentions. Here are some examples of the interaction:
If you wish to use Parallel Library TCPIP as your underlying transport
services, you need only one TCPSAM (TCP Socket Access Method) process.
Therefore, the following lookup process will only list the first one it
encounters.
