Install a WISP
Install a WISP
After you install the iTP Secure WebServer, you may also install a WISP by running
install.WS, which is provided in the <installation directory>/admin/conf directory, with
the -websafe option; doing so adds the WISP configuration information to the existing
iTP Secure WebServer configuration file, and the script properly configures the WID
and iTP Secure WebServer for WISP operations.
You should back up prior versions of your configuration files before executing
install.WS.
Install Optional Features
There are three optional features that you can install with the iTP Secure WebServer:
Event Management Service (EMS) DDL and Templates
Servlet Server Class (SSC) for Java(tm). Alternatively you may want to install
T1222, the support for Java Servlets 2.2 and JSP 1.1.
The Resource Locator.
Compaq highly recommends that the EMS DDL and Templates be installed in order to
display and filter iTP Secure WebServer EMS events.
To install the EMS templates, run the install.EMS script provided in the
/usr/tandem/webserver/admin/conf directory. You must be logged on as SUPER.SUPER
to install the templates and DDL. The install.EMS script moves the template file to the
proper NonStop directory, and then merges it with the system template. The EMS
template installation can take up to five minutes to complete.
The Resource Locator feature has specific dependencies that should be considered prior
to installation. Similarly, there are dependencies you should consider for the Servlet
Server Class (SSC) for Java(tm) product (T0094).
Reminder:
Pathway CGI applications that are built with a newer version of libcgi.a than the version
of the httpd server will not run correctly. If you encounter problems, please verify that
httpd and libcgi.a are the same version. This can be done by running VPROC on the
files.
