Installing NonStop Servlets for JavaServer
Pages (NSJSP)
The procedure for installing NSJSP software depends on the distribution medium for
the product. Check the Readme.txt file if you have received the software on a CD.
Check the softdoc if you are installing the product from a tape. The following
installation instructions are correct as of the time this manual was published; however,
the Readme.txt file or softdoc supersedes the information here.
NSJSP T1222 is a completely different implementation of the Servlets API than the
previous T0094 SSC; the T1222 product replaces the T0094 product when this
installation is performed. As such, some migration concerns may exist for pre-existing
Servlet 2.0 applications that are to run under the new infrastructure. To ensure that any
migration concerns are addressed before installing this product, refer to Migration
From T0094 to T1222 on page 9-43.
Before You Begin the Installation
•
Ensure that the following software is installed and configured before you install
NSJSP:
°
The OSS environment on a NonStop system running NonStop operating
system version G06 or later.
°
NonStop Server for Java (NSJ) 2.0 or later, as described in the NonStop
Server for Java Programmer’s Guide.
Every time you install a new version of NonStop Server for Java, you must re-
run the NSJ "make" to ensure the NSJSP software is linked with the JVM.
Refer to the NonStop Server for Java Programmer’s Guide for more
information.
°
iTP Secure WebServer, V50 IPM ABG or later. Note that you will need to
restart the iTP Secure WebServer after installing NSJSP. For more information,
see Section 2, Installing the iTP Secure WebServer
.
•
Ensure that requirements for using this product are met (see iTP Secure
WebServer System Requirements on page 2-1 or the NSJSP README file).
•
Ensure that prerequisites for the installation utility and any product-specific
installation requirements are met (see the NSJSP README file).
•
Review the file USRGUIDE.PDF (in the subdirectory NSK_SW on the product CD)
containing the IPSetup User Guide, which provides instructions for using IPSetup,
a utility provided on the CD that enables installation of Independent Products. You
need Adobe Acrobat Reader (available on the product CD) to read or print the
IPSetup User Guide.
•
DSM/SCM cannot be used to install the NSJSP software. When prompted, you
must uncheck the "use DSM/SCM" option.
