Run the Setup Script
The softdoc file, T8997V60 (and T7951AAF if you unpaxed T7951PAX), is a text
file that you can keep on $ISV.SOFTDOC, or you can copy the file to any other
location on your NonStop system by using the FUP DUP or FUP RENAME
commands.
3. To complete a typical installation of the iTP Secure WebServer, Run the Setup
Script located in the OSS file system directory.
Run the Setup Script
HP recommends that a SUPER group userid other than SUPER.SUPER be used when
you run the setup script.
1. If you need to use EMS and it is not installed, install it now using the procedure
described under Event Management Service (EMS) Template Installation on
page 2-6.
2. To run the setup script, enter the OSS environment and execute the script.
For example:
TACL> LOGON SUPER.WEB
TACL> OSH
OSS: cd /usr/tandem/webserver/<version>
OSS: ./setup
The installation script walks you step-by-step through the installation of the
Administration Server and the iTP Secure WebServer, and, by default, installs the
product into the /usr/tandem/webserver directory. If you are logged on with a
SUPER group userid, you can accept the defaults, unless you want to Install a
WISP or Install the Resource Locator. If you accept the defaults, you start running
both the iTP Secure WebServer administration interfaces and the iTP Secure
WebServer. The script automatically backs up any existing configuration files that it
might find.
If you want to install the iTP Secure WebServer into an OSS directory other than
/usr/tandem/webserver, specify the desired installation directory as a
parameter to the setup script. For example:
OSS: ./setup /home/myuser/mywebserver
Once the setup script has run, do not delete or modify the version-specific directory
(/usr/tandem/webserver/<version> or its subdirectories, since there are
OSS symbolic links pointing back to that directory tree. If you do delete any of
Notes.
•
The target installation path cannot be the same as the source path.
•
If the iTP Secure WebServer is installed at an OSS directory other than the default
/usr/tandem/webserver, changes will have to be made to the WID configuration if it is
installed.
