NonStop
TM
TUXEDO does not support the Netscape Enterprise Server (NES). Also, ASP
Connectivity for NonStop
TM
TUXEDO is no longer an add-on; it is part of the Jolt Client
Class Library.
JSE Connectivity for NonStop
TM
TUXEDO. The name Jolt WAS for Servlets is now
JSE Connectivity for NonStop
TM
TUXEDO.
●
JoltBeans. This feature is no longer an add-on; it is part of the Jolt Client Class Library.●
Security/Encryption. Diffie-Hellman (DH) key exchange replaces the DES key
exchange mechanism (for U.S. customers only.)
●
Jolt Repository Editor GUI enhancements. The Jolt Repository Editor now provides
more diagnostic messages, and it now displays packages, services and service parameters
in alphabetical order.
●
Jolt Bulk Loader Enhancements. The Jolt Bulk Loader now allows users to specify
package names from the command line. If the package name option (-p packagename)
does not exist, all new services will reside in the BULKPKG package.
●
New Buffer Types. Two enhancements in Jolt Repository include the change of buffer
type used in JREPSVR and the support of XATMI buffer types. Prior to Jolt 1.2, the
services in Jolt Repository Server (JREPSVR) used the FML16 buffer type which limits
the service definition to 64K bytes. Jolt 1.2 JREPSVR uses FML32 and increases to the
internal buffer size to 256K bytes or higher. Also, the JREPSVR and Jolt Server (JSH)
will support the additional XATMI buffer types: X_OCTET, X_C_TYPE and
X_COMMON.
●
-j Option Replacing -c Option. The -j option for JSL is replacing the -c option to specify
the connection mode. The -c option is now used to specify the compression threshold.

Repository Enhancements for Jolt 1.2
The Jolt Repository now uses the FML32 buffer type, which increases the internal buffer size
beyond 64K bytes. In previous versions of Jolt, the services in the Jolt Repository Server
(JREPSVR) used the FML16 buffer type, which limited the service definitions to 64K bytes.
Additionally, the JREPSVR and the Jolt Server (JSH) now support the following XATMI buffer
types:
X_OCTET●
X_C_TYPE●
X_COMMON●
