Independent Product Support
Independent Product Support
Support for Independent Products is determined by the Independent Product version
containing the problem.
Each Independent Product version has at least one Minimum Release Level (MRL),
which is the earliest NonStop Kernel RVU on which the Independent Product version
has received integration testing. An Independent Product version can have more than
one MRL: for example, one MRL for each release series (such as Dxx or Gxx) where
the Independent Product version runs. Customers must ensure that the NonStop
system where an Independent Product version is installed is running at the MRL or a
later release version update. Problems reported against an Independent Product
version installed on systems running RVUs earlier than the MRL are not considered for
resolution.
Problem resolutions for Independent Products are delivered using one of these
methods:
An update to an Independent Product version, available at no cost to customers
already licensed for that Independent Product version. Updates contain rollups of
all problem resolution software product revisions (SPRs) applicable to a specific
Independent Product version. An update is the recommended method for obtaining
problem resolutions.
SPRs to component product versions of the Independent Product version,
available through normal channels.
