ExpressNotice
ExpressNotice
ExpressNotice is an automated information delivery system that automatically sends
information pertinent to your installed products and RVU whenever there are any
issues or changes. (Note that ExpressNotice generates notices only for supported
RVUs.) ExpressNotice also allows you to customize your information notification needs
interactively online.
ExpressNotice Message Types
•
Software Revision Notifications summarize the content and impact of newly
released, unrestricted time-critical fix software product revisions.
•
Hotstuff Messages alert you to product defects that might have particularly serious
consequences. The three types of Hotstuff messages are: general, Outage
Prevention Notifications (OPNs), and SPR Recall and Withdrawal.
•
Support Notes (SUPNOTES) provide information of a more routine nature than that
provided in Hotstuff messages.
Messages sent by ExpressNotice are also available through TIM Support Collections
and Scout for NonStop Servers.
After you have registered, access ExpressNotice at:
https://onepoint.nonstop.compaq.com/
For questions concerning your ExpressNotice subscription, contact the ExpressNotice
Help desk by e-mail at ExpressNotice@hp.com, or contact your local GCSC office.
Scout for NonStop Servers
Scout for NonStop Servers is a Web-based SPR analysis and delivery tool available
through Electronic Support Services. The Scout for NonStop Servers tool is
documented in the Scout for NonStop Servers User’s Guide.
After you have registered, access Scout at:
https://onepoint.nonstop.compaq.com/
By providing access to a data warehouse with SPR information for many different
RVUs, Scout makes SPR analysis fast, easy, and accurate. Through the Scout Main
menu, you can display detailed information about:
•
Software release version updates (RVUs)
•
Initial product version updates (PVUs) and other software product revisions (SPRs)
•
Outage Prevention Notifications (OPNs), Hotstuff Messages, and Support Notes
•
Prerequisites for an SPR
After researching available SPRs, you can either download those you consider
appropriate for your systems directly to your workstation or request tape delivery.
