Total Information Manager (TIM)
The Total Information Manager (TIM) product provides access to product and support
information through local CD-ROM discs and online, Internet-accessible servers.
CD-ROMs are distributed quarterly, and online collections are updated as new and
changed information becomes available.
Using TIM, you can access and search collections of software manuals, softdocs, and
support information. For complete information on using the TIM product, see the Total
Information Manager (TIM) User’s Guide in the TIM collection.
TIM SOFTDOCs Collections
The SOFTDOCs collections contain softdocs for D3x, D4x, and G-series RVUs,
organized by RVU number. The SOFTDOCs collections also contain release
documents, including the Content file and installation and RVU highlights guides.
The SOFTDOCs online collections contain softdocs for D3x, D4x, and G-series RVUs
and are updated as new and changed information becomes available between
CD-ROM quarterly releases.
TIM Support Collections
The Support collections contain technical support information published for D20.00 and
later RVUs, in addition to general support information. The collections include Hotstuff
messages, Support Notes, SPRNOTES, and more. An updated Support collection is
published quarterly.
The Support online collection contains support information published since 1993 and is
updated as new and changed information becomes available between CD-ROM
quarterly releases.
The Support Archive collection contains support documents published from 1988
through 1993.
Note. Although Internet connectivity is not required for TIM, it allows you to access current
support information distributed between CD-ROM releases. Dial-up access is also available.
