Installation Considerations:
SYSGEN required (partial SYSGEN phase possible)
* When using DSM/SCM to install this SPR:
- RECEIVE the SPR from disk or tape.
- COPY the SPR to a new revision of the software configuration
you want to update.
- BUILD and APPLY the configuration revision.
- Perform the pre-installation steps described in the INSTALL
section below except step 1.
- Run ZPHIRNM to perform the RENAME step.
- Perform the post-installation steps described in the INSTALL
section below.
* When using INSTALL to install this SPR:
- Perform these pre-installation steps:
1. Restore the SPR files to the parent product's DSV.
- Perform these INSTALL-related steps:
To install this SPR without doing a system load or producing
a SIT, perform this "partial SYSGEN phase" procedure:
1. a. Run the SYSGEN phase of INSTALL.
b. When INSTALL asks about updating ISVs, reply Y.
c. When INSTALL asks if you want to be prompted for SYSGEN
specs during the SYSGEN phase, reply Y.
d. When INSTALL asks if you wish to preserve all the DSVs
containing SPR files, reply Y. INSTALL then replaces the
ISV files that correspond to the SPR files you restored
and creates the CONFAUX file.
e. When INSTALL prompts for SYSGEN specs, enter a carriage
return; the SYSGEN phase of INSTALL will terminate.
After you have run any other desired phases of INSTALL,
enter EXIT, and INSTALL will terminate.
