About This Document
This manual describes the command and programmatic interfaces of the Measure performance
monitor.
Supported Release Version Updates (RVUs)
This manual supports J06.03 and all subsequent J-series RVUs, H06.03 and all subsequent H-series
RVUs, G06.03 and all subsequent G-series RVUs, and D40.00 and all subsequent D-series RVUs,
until otherwise indicated by its replacement publication.
Intended Audience
This manual is for system analysts and performance-management specialists who monitor
performance on NonStop systems.
New and Changed Information
New and Changed Information for 523324-020
• Updated description of discname-path in “DISC” (page 90) and path in “Entity Specification
Syntax for DISC Entities” (page 189).
• Updated the description of the “INFO MEASUREMENT” (page 64) command with time
information.
New and Changed Information for 523324-019
• Added a note to Entity Specification Syntax for PROCESSH Entities (page 313) that support for
using EDIT files to specify code ranges for PROCESSH measurements is no longer available
for TNS executables in Measure H02 and later PVUs.
• Add the following new error message to MEASFT Error and Warning Messages (page 559),
including the text, cause, effect and recovery for the message:
◦ MEASFT 2033 (WARN_READ_INVALID_DATA): An invalid record was found in Measure
data file.
• Corrected second subfield in creatorid field in DDL Record for PROCESS Entities (ZMS Style)
(page 292) so that it now states “user” instead of “group”.
• Add the following new error messages to Error Codes (page 518), including the text, cause,
effect and recovery for each message:
◦ 3412 (ERRM^DFFULL): The data file in use has reached EOF.
◦ 3413 (ERRM^DFFAILED): Write to the current data file failed.
◦ 3414 (ERRM^LOCKMSGCTRLBUF): The call to the LOCKMEMORYprocedure failed.
◦ 3415 (ERRM^SQLSPACEOVERFLOW): SQL Control Block space is not available.
◦ 3416 (ERRM^INVALIDRECLEN): Word length of the configuration record is extremely
large.
