Example 4
PROBLEM:
Why is the MSMM process TSIMSMMS0 looping?
SOLUTION:
Normally, this will happen if MSMM was started without the TCPIP^PROCESS^NAME
param being defined before starting it. Make sure you have used the startup file, and if
so, make sure the startup file has the following line: PARAM TCPIP^PROCESS^NAME
<tcpip process name to use>.
Example 5
PROBLEM:
I have installed an updated version of MSMM and now I cannot get the Server/Client
processes running...
SOLUTION:
The most common reason this will happen is due to the fact that there are pieces from
an older version of MSMM being kept when installing the updated one over it. When
doing an update install, please do not keep any parts from your older version.
Completely do a clean, fresh install and everything should work fine afterwards.
Example 6
PROBLEM:
When I startup MSMM, I receive a runtime error of 013...
SOLUTION:
This could be caused be three things:
1. Check to see if the MSMM port number you are using is configured in PORTCONF.
If it is, take it out of PORTCONF.
2. Check to see if the MSMM port [TSISILO] is configured in SERVICES. If it is, take
it out of SERVICES.
3. Check to see if you have your HOME TERM configured in RUN CONFIG. If it isn't,
configure your HOME TERM as instructed in Section 3 of this manual.
