2 Installing and Configuring the
Tape Drive
This section includes the following main topics and sections:
Installing the Tape Drive
Because the tape drives are shipped already in the tape enclosure, minimal installation
is involved unless you need to install spare drives in the enclosure. Refer to “Servicing
the Tape Drive” in Section 6 for procedures on installing or removing a tape drive.
Attaching the Power Cord
1. Check that the power switch on the tape drive is off.
2. Connect the power cord to the tape drive’s AC power receptacle.
3. Make sure the connector is fully seated
