Recovering from Errors
Error Recovery Procedures and Fault Symptom Codes includes additional procedures
that can perform by an experienced service technician.
Fault Symptom Codes (FSC)
Fault Symptom Codes appear in the Fault screen shown in Figure A-1. Each FSC is
accompanied by a descriptive message and instructions for clearing the fault. If a fault
persists, look up the FSC in Table A-2 and call the technical support representative. To
help identify the problem be sure to provide the FCS.
Table A-1. Error Recovery Procedures
ERP Number Procedure Detail
C Cycle power to the drive using the AC switch on the
front panel of the tape drive. Wait 30 seconds to
power on again.
D Turn off power to the tape drive and inspect
connectors and cables.
F Invalid operation. Select parameters correctly and try
again.
G Call technical support.
