ADD DOMAIN
ADD DOMAIN
ADD DOMAIN defines a logical LAN. One ADD DOMAIN is required to operate
NBT. Do not use more than one DOMAIN.
If the NODE^ALIAS command is used, it must precede any ADD DOMAIN
commands. You do not need to start the TCP/IP process and define the subnet before
using the ADD DOMAIN command.
If the DEFAULT DOMAIN command is set to FIRST^ADDED, the first domain you
add using the ADD DOMAIN command automatically becomes the default domain.
domain-name
defines the domain uniquely and must start with a pound sign (#) followed by a
letter, then optionally by letters or numbers up to eight characters maximum. The
domain name is referenced in the ADD WINDOW and DEFAULT DOMAIN
commands, and in the NCB2.NCB^RESOURCE field of WSPTP requests when:
NCB2.NCB^RESOURCE^TYPE = NCB^RESOURCE^DOMAIN = 2.
SUBNET tcp-name
refers to a TCP/IP driver process, such as $ZTC0, with a subdevice name
identifying a subnet. For example:
$ZTC0.#SUBNET1
TYPE B | P | M
B specifies broadcast name resolution only.
P specifies NetBIOS Name Server (NBNS) name resolution only.
M specifies a mixture of P and B.
NBNS ip-address
specifies the IP address of the NBNS node for type P or M.
Note. Only one ADD DOMAIN should be used per NBT process.
