OS2^SEND^NSR
OS2^SEND^NSR
OS2^SEND^NSR allows operation with OS/2 workstations.
The default is OS2^SEND^NSR N with most RFC1001 implementations. When set to
OS2^SEND^NSR Y, a Node Status Request, instead of a Name Query Request, is
transmitted by NBT to resolve local (to NBT) queries for remote NetBIOS names. This
allows operation with OS/2 workstations which do not fully comply with RFC1001.
Node Status Requests are rarely used for any other purpose, so no compatibility
problems are expected.
