CONTROL^11
CONTROL^11
CONTROL^11 emulates ATP6100 instead of MULTILAN WS6530.
Most Compaq access methods, such as ATP6100, use certain conventions with respect
to inactive sessions. MULTILAN WS6530 uses a different convention.
The ATP6100 convention is to reject all application requests when a session is down
with filecode 140, except for control 12 (ignored) and control 11 (which is not replied to
until a session starts). A control 12 received during a session terminates the session.
MULTILAN ignores control 11 and control 12 when a session is active and, if any
request (not just control 11) is received when a session is down, the request is held (not
replied to) until the session starts.
To display the current setting of this parameter, use the INFO PROCESS command.
N | Y
N (default value) emulates the performance of Compaq MULTILAN as described
above.
Y is compatible with ATP6100 and other Compaq access methods, as described
above. For proper Pathway operation, CONTROL^11 Y is strongly recommended.
Note. MULTILAN is not supported on G-series systems. NBX provides the same MULTILAN
APIs on D- and G-series systems, and continues to support NSK applications and remote
workstation NetBIOS applications using these APIs.
