LIMIT
limits the number of times the command, message, or series of commands is to
execute. This allows a timer command to execute periodically (at the specified
interval) for a specified number of times.
execution-limit
specifies an execution limit. The timer command executes the number of times
you specify. You can specify a value from 0 through 999. You must specify an
execution limit of 1 to execute the command, message, or series of commands
once only.
NO
specifies that there is no execution limit. This is equivalent to specifying a
limit of 0: the timer command executes indefinitely at the specified interval.
PMSG
specifies whether a purge message is sent when the command is automatically
purged from the timer queue.
YES
a purge message is sent to the user ID or environment that controls the
execution of the command when the command is automatically purged from
the timer queue. This is specified by the values of the ENV, KEEP, and
ROUTE operands.
If you do not specify the ENV, KEEP, or ROUTE operand when the timer
command is purged, a purge message is sent either to your OCS window or to
the activity log.
If you specify ENV=PRI or ENV=CUR, when the timer command is purged the
message is sent to either your OCS window or your current execution
environment, respectively.
If you specify KEEP=MON or KEEP=LOG and you are not logged on when the
timer command is purged, the message is sent to the Background Monitor or
the Background Logger, respectively.
If you specify ROUTE=MON or ROUTE=LOG and you are logged on when the
timer command is purged, the message is sent to one of your OCS windows.
If you specify ROUTE=
user-id
and the target user ID is logged on when the
timer command is purged the message is sent to the user ID.
NO
specifies that no purge message is to be sent when the command is
automatically purged from the timer queue.
