NonStop NET/MASTER MS displays the key string in the OCS command
input line. You can then modify the key string or add text to it. You can then
execute the command or NCL procedure by pressing the ENTER key.
When you press the conversational function key and the associated key string
is SPLIT, SWAP, or a recall buffer keyword, NonStop NET/MASTER MS
performs the function associated with the keyword.
IMM
defines the function key as an immediate function key. Specifying a key string
with IMM is optional.
When you press an immediate function key with no associated key string, the
function key acts as an ENTER key. Any command in the OCS command
input line is executed.
When you press an immediate function key associated with a NonStop
NET/MASTER MS command or an NCL procedure, the command or NCL
procedure is executed immediately.
When you press an immediate function key and the associated key string is
SPLIT, SWAP, or a recall buffer keyword, NonStop NET/MASTER MS
performs the function associated with the keyword.
PREF
defines the function key as a prefix function key with the associated key string.
You can specify any key string with PREF.
When you press a prefix function key and the associated key string is either a
NonStop NET/MASTER MS command or an NCL procedure, NonStop
NET/MASTER MS prefixes the key string to any text currently in the OCS
command input line. It processes the concatenated string immediately. The
concatenated string is not displayed in the OCS command input line, and you
cannot modify it.
When you press a prefix function key and the associated key string is SPLIT,
SWAP, or a recall buffer keyword, NonStop NET/MASTER MS performs the
function associated with the keyword.
SUFF
defines the function key as a suffix function key with the associated key string.
You can specify any key string with SUFF.
When you press a suffix function key and the associated key string is either a
NonStop NET/MASTER MS command or an NCL procedure, NonStop
NET/MASTER MS suffixes the key string to any text currently in the OCS
command input line. It processes the concatenated string immediately. The
concatenated string is not displayed in the OCS command input line, and you
cannot modify it.
