When you press a suffix function key and the associated key string is SPLIT,
SWAP, or a recall buffer keyword, NonStop NET/MASTER MS performs the
function associated with the keyword.
key-string
specifies a string to associate with a function key.
command
specifies the name of a NonStop NET/MASTER MS command. The key type
determines how the command is processed and executed.
ncl-procedure
specifies the name of an NCL procedure. The key type determines how the
NCL procedure is processed and executed.
SPLIT
assigns the function of splitting the screen to the function key. By using the
SPLIT keyword, the function key becomes a SPLIT key. When the SPLIT key
is pressed, the SPLIT grid appears on the screen.
If you add additional text to the SPLIT keyword, NonStop NET/MASTER MS
interprets the key string as the SPLIT command, not the SPLIT keyword, and
splits the screen at the position specified by the command.
See the SPLIT command for additional information on splitting.
SWAP
assigns the function of swapping the screen to the function key. By using the
SWAP keyword, the function key becomes a SWAP key. When the SWAP key
is pressed, the dimensions of the current logical windows are reversed.
If you add additional text to the SWAP keyword, NonStop NET/MASTER MS
interprets the key string as the SWAP command, not the SWAP keyword, and
swaps the screen as specified by the command.
See the SWAP command for additional information on swapping.
recall-buffer-keyword
specifies a keyword that performs a function associated with the recall buffer,
which is associated with each OCS window. The recall buffer holds old
roll-delete messages—messages that have rolled off the window or messages
that are currently being displayed.
