FILE=
file-name
specifies the name of the command help edit file to which to export information
and from which to import information. You can specify a file name in the form:
[ [ [ \
sys
. ]$
volume
. ]
subvolume
. ]
file-name
After an export operation, the edit file contains the help information for the
command specified by the KEY operand.
For an import operation, the edit file must contain the help information of only
one command. To import more than one command, put the help information for
each command in a separate edit file and use multiple HLPMAINT commands to
import each file individually. When importing, lines longer than 80 characters are
truncated to 80 characters. A message is displayed if truncation occurs.
KEY=
help-string
specifies the help string (command) for which to obtain help information. You can
specify a help string from 1 through 32 characters. If the help string has more than
one word, you must enclose the words in quotes and separate each word by a
space.
If you specify an existing NonStop NET/MASTER MS command in an export or
import operation, you can abbreviate the command to the minimum number of
characters that uniquely identify the command. The HLPMAINT command
automatically expands an abbreviation before attempting to export or import help
information.
In an export operation, the help string (combined with a cultural indicator)
identifies the help information to export. In an import operation, the help string
becomes part of the primary key used to identify the help information.
CULTURE=
cultural-indicator
specifies an installation-defined indicator that identifies the culture of the help
information: for example, US for U.S. English, DE for German, and so on. Culture
refers to a set of features such as language; spelling; character set; conventions
used for representing date, time, and currency formats; and so on that describe the
characteristics of the help information.
You can specify a cultural indicator from one through eight characters. The
cultural indicator can include any displayable characters. If you do not specify a
cultural indicator, NonStop NET/MASTER MS uses the value specified by the
Language Code field in your user ID definition record (by default, this is the value
specified by the SYSPARMS LANG command).
