PROFILE
NonStop NET/MASTER MS Commands
2–268 115412 Tandem Computers Incorporated
PROFILE The PROFILE command modifies or displays the profile of the current execution
environment. You can use this command to modify your own execution environment
(the primary processing environment in which you work while you are in OCS), or
you can use it to modify the environment in which an NCL process is executing.
Your OCS profile is constructed from your user ID definition record when you log on
to NonStop NET/MASTER MS if you are allowed to select OCS. All modifications
you make to your OCS profile using the PROFILE command (except the value
associated with either the INITCMD or NCLTEST operands) are lost when you exit
from OCS. The INITCMD value is updated in your user ID definition record; the
NCLTEST value remains in affect until you close the NonStop NET/MASTER MS
window from which you set the value.
If you are using two OCS windows, you can profile each window differently. If you
change any aspects of your own execution environment (except the value associated
with either the INITCMD or MSGPROC operands), you can reobtain the original
settings by using the SIGNON command. You cannot change the value of an operand
so that it supersedes the value specified in your user ID definition record or authorizes
you to do something that your user ID definition prohibits.
Entering the PROFILE command from the OCS command input line with no operands
(or with only the ENV operand) displays your OCS profile for the current OCS
window.
